The RARE Young Adults Speakers Bureau is available for the members of RARE Young Adults who are interested in increasing their public speaking skills. RARE Young Adults offers three training opportunities throughout the year. Individuals interested in the Speakers Bureau will need to complete a total of 4 hours in training workshops and participate in a roundtable practice presentation.
After training is completed, members of the Speakers Bureau will receive:
- guidance on a creating a professional bio and headshot.
- assistance with a professional Zoom background.
- access to presentation modules on policy issues that impact the rare disease community.
- assistance in presenting at conferences, panels, or webinars as a RARE Young Adults representative.

I had the opportunity to join the YARR Speakers Bureau in July 2022, which helped me develop skills and gain confidence in public speaking, something I’ve struggled with in the past. I’m now using those skills at other speaking engagements and have the foundation to continue growing my advocacy.
