Thank you to the more than 600 rare disease advocates who made their voices heard during Rare Disease Week on Capitol Hill 2021 in support of legislation such as the Speeding Therapy Access Today, or STAT Act.
This bipartisan, bicameral, community-led bill will improve rare disease coordination, stakeholder engagement, and policy development within FDA by expanding existing authority to create a Rare Disease Center of Excellence (COE). The COE aims to increase FDA’s capacity to provide innovative approaches to unique challenges across rare diseases, providing solutions that can benefit therapeutic development for many communities.
Please keep making your voice heard! You are a critical piece of the legislative process. Ask your Members of Congress to please stand with you and the more than 30 million Americans living with rare disease who need therapies…STAT!
