Rose is the Head of Clinical at a biotechnology company and brings 20 years of experience in clinical cancer research. In her role, she focuses on conducting groundbreaking clinical trials for rare cancers. Her diverse academic and professional background includes genetics, chemistry, and physics. Rose has spent over a decade running clinical oncology trials in academic and biotechnology settings, ranging from first-in-human to Phase 3 clinical trials.
One of her most rewarding professional experiences involves impacting the lives of patients with rare diseases. She actively advocates for awareness and education on rare cancers alongside her full-time position. This commitment is deeply personal, as she lost three immediate family members—her father, mother, and sister—to rare diseases, which fuels her unwavering mission to assist others.
For several years, Rose has brought together patient groups, physicians, public health specialists, and government officials to foster dialogue and create action plans addressing critical public health issues. She has also organized training sessions in underserved areas of South Texas to empower communities facing rare cancers and other diseases, providing vital knowledge and access to essential resources.
Additionally, Rose collaborates with local public officials to enhance policy initiatives to better serve the community and drive change at the statewide level. Together, they develop strategies to address the unique challenges these communities encounter, such as language barriers, cultural disparities, and inequities in healthcare access.
