Marion Jones, MPA, is a nationally recognized health equity advocate, NMOSD (neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder) champion, international speaker, and marathon runner. Diagnosed in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic, she experienced a severe relapse that left her partially paralyzed and required intensive rehabilitation to relearn how to walk.
Today, Marion runs marathons to raise awareness of neurological conditions and promote brain health. She serves as a Patient Ambassador for The Sumaira Foundation, using her voice to uplift newly diagnosed patients and advocate for equitable, culturally competent care. She has served as a legislative advocate with Rare Disease Legislative Advocates (RDLA) and the Autoimmune Association, bringing the voices of rare disease patients to Capitol Hill.
As Vice President of Workforce Development at a leading clean energy company, Marion is passionate about creating inclusive pathways for underrepresented populations and transforming workplace cultures to foster belonging. She previously led a workforce development program recognized by the White House (Biden Administration) as an exemplary national model. In 2025, she was named an Obama Leader USA, a program that identifies exceptional leaders across sectors who have a clear issue focus and can demonstrate measurable impact.
