Laura Romano

Laura Romano is a rare disease advocate with a passion for empowering young advocates to use their stories and lived experience to make an impact on public policy. Their advocacy journey began shortly after their own diagnosis in college, when they organized a rare disease awareness event on campus. Laura graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Neuroscience and Behavior from Simmons University in 2021 and spent several years teaching preschool before joining the team. Outside of advocacy, Laura loves theater, songwriting, reading, pottery, and spending time with family and friends.
