Born and raised in the North Country of New York, Collin Sovie is the Alliance Development Manager, as well as an alumnus of SUNY Oswego and SUNY Oneonta, and a former museum professional. He is still a museum nerd at heart, and notorious for reading everything in them. Be warned: don’t go with him to one if you’re in a hurry. Collin is an avid outdoorsman, camping, fishing, hunting, hiking, and taking part in all other activities you can imagine. If he’s not home, then he’s likely in the middle of nowhere getting away from the rest of the world. Working at the RARE Foundation has been one of the most rewarding parts of his life — it has allowed him to advocate on behalf of his grandparents while also giving him the opportunity to meet countless members of the rare disease community.
