Ann Ciombor is a fierce advocate for Huntington’s Disease. She joined the Wisconsin HDSA board in 2021 and enjoys being on the planning committee for the annual Education Day. Through her dedication and involvement, the HDSA Wisconsin Chapter was recognized as the winner of the Chapter Education Award at the 2024 National HDSA Convention.
Ann is also a HDSA National Advocacy Leader. In this role, Ann works to bring systemic change by meeting with Wisconsin senators and congressmen to discuss legislation that can help all who are affected by HD. In 2024, Ann held meetings with the offices of her congressman and senator. She was also invited to attend a meeting with Senator Ron Johnson in Washington, D.C. This meeting took place after attending the HDSA Externally Led Patient-Focused Drug Development Meeting with the FDA in November 2024.
Currently, Ann is working to educate legislative offices on HDSA priority legislation for 2025. She has presented at her State Education Day, at the 2025 HDSA National Advocacy Workshops, and is honored to be a part of the 2025 HDSA National Convention. Before retiring from corporate America in 2019, Ann worked in finance for over 20 years. She is a family member of a person living with HD. She enjoys traveling with her husband, spending time with her family, gardening, and baking sourdough bread.
