Yesterday, HB 736 passed the North Carolina House of Representatives 111-1. This newborn screening legislation requires the state to screen for any disorder on the federal Recommended Uniform Screening Panel (RUSP) implements a timeline on when the screening must begin and ensures there will be money available in the future to fund all RUSP conditions.
